The Aärometer, or Hydrometer called, is a device which determines the density of liquids. It can be used to analyze the content of water in dissolved compounds. A common use is also the determination of the alcohol content in breweries or wine cooperatives. Our AEROMETER was made of hermetically finished glass, in the upper part there is a thin glass tube and in the lower part a filling of high-density material. This type of construction allows the meter to maintain its vertical position when submerged in the appropriate fluid. The optimum working temperature is 20 ° C.
Our hydrometer has the following 3 scales:
1. Percentage of sugar
Grade Brix: (range -5 ° to + 35 ° Bx, where x ° Bx = 10g of sugar in 1l of water)
2. Specific liquid density
3. Alcohol content
Percentage (range 0-20% Vol)
The scale is easy to read and clearly visible in the upper part of the device. It can be easily read during a test series. The measurement takes place at the moment in which the Aärometer is immersed in the liquid. The sensitive device is made of glass, that's why our hydrometer is in a special protective cover. The plastic case has sponge inserts on both ends, so the meter can be safely stored and transported. Our measuring scale can be used for various experiments, it is suitable for the private sector as well as for commercial use in breweries, in viticulture and also in the distillation industry.
